    Default HU hand - T8

    I thought this was a real interesting/tough spot for me. I was having a hard time with a real read with this guy at first. He was hitting pretty much every flop hard, and checking to the turn, and then showing his 2 pair, trips or whatever when he bet, and I folded. Anyway, this guy was a ginornmous stack early, so I put him as a donkey then. My primary HU observation was he was betting with made hands, and calling with draws and weak hands.

    Anyhow, as time went on, I noticed that he chased gutters, draws, bottom pair. He would call with mid pair poor kickers, etc. That's why I lead on the flop. I don't know how I feel about the turn. The river bet really bothered me.

    Why 1/3 on the river? Are you worried about QT? I bet at least 800 because some of your strength has been forfeited, but what do I know? I also call the river, I can't see a backdoor flush, but again, what do I know?

    {EDIT: I meant "Why 1/3 pot on turn?"}

    Here is my thought. At best, I'm splitting this pot.

    I think it's QT.

    Why 400 on the flop? Shouldn't this be 800 to go?

    No feel for two pair here if he was chasing things with middle/low pair? He could of felt those hands were good with the way you were betting...esp the river bet. I'd rather check/call than test the waters with that bet.

    I think if you're gonna fold there, check/call is probably the right move.

    Why such weak turn and river bets?

    600 on the turn at least.
    1k on the river.

    Sometimes you just don't get there until you get there.

    Turn was way too weak. Bet that river harder.

    i was going to say 2 pair on the river as well. based on what you said about him, if he had hit his straight on the turn, he should have bet on the turn. the rivered flush is a possibility, especially if he had a suited 9 or 7, which is worrisome, since he would call down with 2nd or bottom pair. looking back, seeing as how you have (had) the chip lead prior to this hand, and the read that he is a donkey, I would like to say I would fold, but i wouldnt. i would call and probably lose more often than not.

    wow look at those blinds.

    you guys don't even have to sweat. These new PP sngs are kinda a double edged sword.

    Well if you look at your bets, you look weak. You just bet the same amount on 3 streets, if i were him i would have to raise the river.

    At the same time, you really don't have that much invested. It's probably better to fold if you are unsure.
