Hand 1: Villain in this hand has been relatively loose in calling raises preflop. Turn I hit top pair with what is almost definately the best kicker. For even money I almost never make this turn call but I was offered an outstanding 5:1, and if I folded I would be left with only 1000 or so chips. What do you put him on and considering the staggering odds do you make this call as well?

Hand 2: Same villain as before, only a few hands later. I flop middle pockets with a inside straight draw and flush draw, so I bet to discourage other draws. I figure 9+3+ 2 half-outs on the Js win me this. Board pairs low on the turn: Has my hand improved or declined in value? River complete my flush; he has played as if he were drawing to the flush as well, so I check again, not wanting to give great implied odds.
