Default Am I crazy? Line check with pocket pair.

BB had my respect - he earlier (correctly) called down a series of bets to the river holding only middle pair.

UTG was a looser player who had made those bets...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    CO (t945)
    Button (t4390)
    Hero (t2150)
    BB (t2470)
    UTG (t1760)
    MP (t1785)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7, 7.
UTG raises to t100, 3 folds, Hero calls t75, BB calls t50.

    Flop: (t300) 2, 3, 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t125, UTG calls t125, Hero calls t125.

    Turn: (t675) 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t400, UTG calls t400, Hero raises to t1925...

This is all sorts of confusing. You got called and lost to an 8 correct?

If someone actually has an 8 in your position, does he check/call the flop? Or does he wait for the c-bet and reraise it? If he has the top pair on this flop, would he want to take it down right away, or at least see where he stands? I dunno. All I know is that if i were playing against you in this hand, I would find it hard to believe you hold an 8 (if that is indeed what you are trying to rep).

It is a loose play, I would not be surprised if you get called by BB with 99-TT

This IS reckless. It's something that I need to get out of my game (pick out better spots)... anyways:

I had UTG on a draw or unpaired overs, esp when he didn't raise BB's bets.

BB - urgh - eep. I've forgotten my line of thought, but I doubt that he has top pair. TLR - didn't really think about overpair.

I thought my 7s were good (and they kind of were - opps folded to my reckless bet) but in retrospect I should really pay attention to my sig

    Thanks.

Fold preflop and you won't have to worry about this.

UTG is obviously on overs. BB's bets are weak and confusing, I have no idea what he could be on.

raise on the flop, if you're likely best on the river, you're likely best on the flop.

Good bet on the river I think only if you have a good read that your opps will fold. You're only getting called by better hands here.

    preflop is fine,
trying leading the flop and see what happens

As Gabe put it I would have put out a probe bet on the flop to see where you stand. If the original raisers comes over the top or even flat calls you can be pretty confident that you are behind in the hand.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.
