It really looks like he already flopped a straight. I'm not sure what else he'd be raising with like that on such a board - maybe a set, but I'm not sure you'd want to get involved in that situation either.

Any read? Has he been pushing people off hands from position?

Too bad it's the ass end of the straight...

Looks like he's protecting a hand - a set perhaps. I push it - let him make the decision for most of his stack... you have plenty of FE and a good number of outs if called.

EDIT: I think 2pr is a likely holding here too.

    Downswinging holla!
With your stack and a massive drawing hand like that I push all in and hope to hit.

you're giving the guy a str8/set because he raised that board? The nuts are not around every corner.

This is one of the rare spots where I will usually try for a check raise, but as played I'm pushing.

Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

I'm not sure I give him the straight either because he limped from the small blind. I give him 2 pair or top pair with a strong draw to the nut str8, which you probably have a 4-out redraw on + 9 flush draw.

i went over the top and he called with 98, so I was 48% from the flop

Do you really want a flip in this situation though?

Not exactly what you wanted but better than a flopped set or str8. How did it turn out?
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I was little confused b/c if I fold on the flop I'm left with 1300 and might be looking at a coinflip soon anyway. I'm actually near 60% against any top pair hand besides AT. Even against JT I'm 55% Do you think TPGK does this a lot? From the BB he might assume I could be on T4 or something, but since I bet 2/3 of the pot and he raises on a board like that, I would think its pretty unlikely. Since he could think I'm on T4, he certainly wouldnt be rasing that much with QJ or 67, since most of the time I'd be folding to a raise. 88, 99, and TT seem pretty rare too, I think most players wont be limping these on the button when its folded to them.

    o and I didn't hit btw

Re: the coinflip - remember its your OPP who is "deciding on a coinflip" - in this sort of situation you should have plenty of FE and you have lots of pot equity too. I like to give my opps the tough decision when possible.

This is an easy push, made even easier by the blinds.

In a tourney, it's very ballsy, you have lots of outs and I'd probably push. Against most solid players there's a fair chance you'd get the fold - bottom 2 isn't that incredibly great, the board is highly coordinated and:

    1) "two pair isn't a license to print money"
    2) "never go broke on bottom 2pr"
    3) "never go broke in an unraised pot"

Regarding TPGK: ugh, I dunno -limping K9o? If I'm playing that/opening from BN, I'm raising. And I thought 2pr was likely because
    - a solid BN player would probably open raise those pairs
    - a weaker BN player who set would probably flatcall your flop bet ....
