Default Moved from Party Poker to Stars

So after constantly hearing how stars is the best site for tournament players, I decided to try it out and I must say I love it; I love the variety. I've been lucky enough to turn my 50$ investment into 170$ (mostly by winning a 45 man 6+0.50$ turbo SNG) and now I'm turning to the wisdom of FTR members to know what would be the most profitable games for me to play. I do know I still have a tiny bankroll but with proper management I think I'll make it.

I tend to think the best for me would be to play the 2 tables 6 + 0.50$ turbos but some of you may know better.

Now, don't tell me about ring games, these bore me to death, I'm an SNG player.

On a side note, do any of you know about some cool skins? The default one sucks (and hurt my eyes)...

I love the two tables, sounds good. Be ready to go to one table if you hit 120 or so.

I always liked the 3 table 5.50's. they dont seem to take too much longer than the 2 table one's, and the return on a money finish is just so much more. the two table ones arent bad though.
if you are worried about variance due to a smaller bankroll, you may want to try the regular as opposed to turbo SNG's. i didnt play too many turbos, but they seem like they would have bigger swings.

With $170 I would play the 2-tables. I'm at $130 so the 1-table is a little more comforting. I also think it's helping my decision making so when I go back to 2 or 5 table I'll be a better player.

I play very tight early, then aggressive later, so this is what I have noticed.

    1 Table:
Winning one, 70-30 basically puts you ITM
If you don't double up early you're pushing your 1.2k into ~3k big stacks so you have fold equity (i.e. you don't have to win a 70-30 or worse).

    2-3 Table:
You'll have to win 2-3 70-30 to be ITM
If you don't double up early you're pushing your 1.2k into 6-7k stacks. They are more likely to look you up. Even after you've doubled you're no where near the chip lead

I've also played a couple 4 person heads-up tourneys. Winner takes $20. These don't seem very difficult.

Hmmm, isn't there something called postflop too?

Lol, ya. There's isn't much difference. Everyone calls too much so I try not to play much post-flop unless I have a good hand (which leads to doubling up early, which always comes post flop). It's what's working best for me.

I know that was a joke, but If you want to play post flop poker why are you playing turbos?

Turbo is much more of a preflop game then the normal Sngs, because the stacks are shallower
