I think the jump between level 4 and level 5 is way too big, especially for the speed tournies.

One minute Im sitting tight with 1900 chips, and the next minute I barely have 5xBB. Thats lame.

Everyone was worried that the deeper stacks would make the games longer. Alot depends on the players at the table.

Over the weekend there were plenty of fish splashing around. I played 2 yesterday that were down to 5 players before level 4.

Guys were still pushing their crap. So instead of 800 its 2K. WOO HOO

I agree though that the jump from 100 to 200 is a large one, you think your sitting ok than two orbits and your back in the pack.

It does lend itself to a little more wiggle room early not having to worry about loosing m0re than half our stack with a move or two.

How did PP come up with this change. They went from the smallest stack to the biggest? I thought they would have pick 1500 to get back some the STARS proponents instead of going way the other way?

varaince is going to be pretty high in the speed tournies. VQ take this structure change as an omen and switch to stars turbos!

They have the same jump from 100/200 to 200/400 in Stars SnGs, but they lessen the blow by essentially making 100/200 a double level, first having a 100/200 level, then having a 100/200 (25 ante) level before the jump to 200/400 (25 ante).

It's still a harsh jump.

i just played a few of each....speed and regular. The speed tournies are going to be high variance low ROI, the higher buy in ones are going to be VERY swingy. The regular structure is ok i guess......the few i played lasted about 1 hour, which is a bout 15 minutes longer on average i guess..........

I thought that the original PP sngs were high variance, low ROI anyway
