I personally ignore it often times not even having the box up at all...but that's just me.

Sometimes at micro limits when I have AA and push all in either pre flop with no action behind me, or post flop with a rags board, ill say "I HAVE AA!" and go all in, sometimes it works. :P

I trash talk way too much. You people are probably way better about talking than me. I need to tone it down.

I ignore the chat box, except to say the occasional nh sir when I get sucked out on.

I spam rigged when I push 67s into kings. If you ever played a live cash game, you know what to think about table talk.

    ditto.

I barely notice the chat box, when I do I usually don't respond to anything, maybe chuckle at it a little. I might use a little table talk when I'm positive it will have a negative effect on my opponent, I think it's just like showing the occasional bluff, if you know it can pay off later, no real harm in it.

Giving lessons or table coaching, however...Just don't do it.

if u have time to chat ur
    1) not playhing enough tables
    2) not paying enough attention.

I sometimes engage in friendly conversation with my opponents, especially if they're regulars at the game or they're a fellow FTR poster. For the most part I ignore the chat box, but if I'm already busted from most of the tables in my set, I might chat a little.

I can't stand the people who make sarcastic remarks to their opponents after they get sucked out on. They're usually pretty bad players themselves, but they make the game less fun for the really terrible players. I've seen fish get up and leave a cash game because they're tired of the stupid table coach yelling at them. I hate table coaches more than anything else about online poker, even more than I dislike cheaters like JJProdigy. And there seems to be one of them at every freaking table I play. I hate hate hate hate hate table coaches.

    MCatDog,
I agree with you 110%...table coaches are the most annoying people on chat. I was a table in the PStars 180 person SnG and there was way too much table coaching going on...I am not one to chat much, but I got so annoyed that I told everyone to keep their lessons for another day...it worked.
As for JJ Prodigy, people were chatting about it at a different table of the same tournament...it seems that some hacker figured out a way to allow players to have multiple accounts on PPoker. So, JJProdigy got busted and so did a bunch of other people. PPoker is now saying that they have the issue resolved and that the guilty parties have had their money frozen.

I play four tables and whenever I start chatting I begin to run poorly.

    Coincidence?

wearing the honors of honor and whatnot
I'd say 99% of the time, i am silent and not saying anything. The other 1%, usually when someone makes a comment at me, I will get very chatty and sarcastic and arrogant. I find the times when I'm talking are the times I am at my best, generally because the dumbass who made a comment at me is an idiot and my talk makes me appear to be an idiot/playing more recklessly than I really am.
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch

I play w chat off and just check it occasionally to see if anything would give me a read. Otherwise it's off and ignored.

Mostly I just say nh when I get knocked out, suckout or otherwise.

Also, if I notice there's an argument going on I usually like to get in there and encourage the idiot.

    Encouraging bad play is +EV.

Haha, I do that too. It sometimes draws the wrath of the flamers, but I don't care.
