With 33 this early I think set or forget is the policy to go.

In this specific hand I dont think there is any chance that you are ahead of the better.

If you wanted to make a move you had to do it on the turn. Nobody has bet the flop so betting the turn may give you the pot there if noone has an A. You might even get a call from someone chasing the flush.

However I dont think it is worth the risk at this point

If that is the case you needed to take the lead in betting sometime before the river.

With that said, I still would play this for set value this early in the tourney. Pocket 3's are just WAY too vulnerable.

probably better to lead the 60 on the turn then call it here, but I really don't hate it. This guy could easily have nothing and figure it's his only chance to win.

well - the pot stayed small and you were getting 5-1 on the river so a call is ok - didnt hurt your stack and he was bb and just as likely to make the bet with bottom pair - a 2 - as a 6 or 7. You only need to win it 1 in 4 times to make a profit...

I think you played it fine. Obviously if he had made the bet on the flop or turn it would have been a fold, but given he waited to the river and was as likely to be just trying to steal it as have value and it was a min-bet, I think it's fine. Higher blinds or shorter stack and it would be different.....

a fold is good but nothing really terrible with the call.
