How bad is this? Should I have been playing this aggresivly?

At first the flop I thought its unlikley he is betting top pair middle pair or bottom pair... so he could be betting the Striaght. Turn comes and now all he needs is J, AJ would make sense. So I just call/check through till the river.

Thoughts? I really didn't know how to play this.

With an initial minimum raise PF, he very likely could have something like AJ, KJ, KQ, maybe even AK. Any of those hands would really like that flop and he may call any and all bets. I probably would've reraised at least $600-$800 and maybe even push, afterall, there is only one hand that is beating you at this point but it's a scary flop and you probably want to win this right now.

Why didn't you raise the flop? I know the board is scary, but what card are you hoping to get on the turn that would justify just calling?

That is why you are catching grief for slowplaying.

I would have even raised the turn. If he has the J, you still have 10 outs to beat him.

yep gotta raise the flop, and if pushes over i think you can call since he probably has two pair or pair plus straight draw. save yourself a tough decision on the turn.
