    Default Bubble hand - AQ

    $55 PP tourney.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    Hero (t4611)
    SB (t11678)
    BB (t1065)
    UTG (t2646)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, A.
UTG raises to t1200, Hero raises to 4611 (allin)

PS - this hand converter sucks.

seems ok with me, reads though?

looks like he's trying to isolate the short stack BB while avoiding a tangle with anyone else, meaning you could do this with a lot worse hands than that, although if BB's calling with a pretty wide range then AQ helps.

I apologize, I meant to add the reads:

All I can say about UTG is that he is not particularly active. BB is quite a donk in his preflop play, but he's pretty tight postflop. Bigstack has been attacking BB quite a bit, and leaving the rest of us alone. Attacking as in to say he will call his preflop raises and then attack his postflop weaknesses. I should say, that I think UTG is pretty tight, but a weak player.

Anyhow, this is standard for me if I'm bigstack. It's strange, I don't think I've encountered this situation often here. In particular, where there's a shorty in the BB, and biggie is still yet to act.

Perhaps my thinking is too basic but I don't see any other move that makes sense.

If UTG's weak-tight then he's probably not raising half his stack without a hand. However, it's probably also the case that if he's weak-tight he'll lay down anything other than AA or KK after BB calls your all-in (which you lead me to believe he will the vast majority of the time).

It's hard to say without having been there, but I'm betting you're not ahead of very many hands in UTG's range, but this is okay because I think you can make him fold here...and even if he does call you have him substantially outstacked and can count on him taking out the short stack.

I'm not sure how the SB plays into this, though I imagine with a raise and a push he'll stay out of it.

Normally you can treat AQ like gold when you're 4-handed, but this hand is different due to the strong possibility of going three way with at least one very strong hand.
