preflop, you are sufficiently stacked to limp with those and see if you hit your set. Nothing really blatently bad about how you played it though.

You do realize you've just made a bad beat post right?

I dont think it was a bad beat, i just think i played it wrong..... He had 17 outs plus a possile runner runner straight draw, i think flying was right i had the stack to just limp 99 is to vulnerable it would of saved me half my stack

I think you mean 15 outs. Essentially, the way you played it, you had roughly 50% pot equity, and he had the other half. And then you lost. Posting it the way you did, is a bad beat post.

Now, if you want to ask the question I think you're meaning to ask, this is how you do it:

[In put your reads if any here, and your thoughts about your strategy postflop]

I like to limp. You probably have the best hand right now, and it sucks that you will not win this hand postflop more than ~ 25% of the time. But, you do not need to win this hand right here to win the tourney.

So how should i play the same hand if i had like 1500 chips??

Since this guarantees at least 2 callers, what's your postflop strategy when you flop overs more than 50% of the time?
  12. #12
I dont think it guarentees 2 callers, probably 1.

With 1 caller it highly depends on the flop structure and villians's actions.

    All lower then 9 - I bet/reraise
1-2 over and it is checked to me - I bet.
1-2 over and he bets - read dependant - If I think I can push him off the pot if he has TPGK I go over the top.
3 overs - I am out of the hand

It's a virtual certainty that seat 5 is calling. Since seat 6 already limped, I would think he likes his hand. So, when it returns to him, and there's t1275 in the pot, with just 300 more to call, giving him better than 4:1 to call, you think he's gonna fold?

This all still assumes there are no better hands or callers behind us. Do you still think you're only getting one caller?

I think the buy-in might help direct some of the questions and assumptions made.

I know what you are saying and it all makes perfect sense to me but never underestimate the goofball plays some low buy-in SnG players are capable of.

with 1500, push 99 over those two limpers. 90% of the time you'll take a nice pot for free.

    100% correct.

I see people limping and folding to a raise pretty frequently.
