Default JJ with an A on the flop - is this throwing chips away?

This is a PS $5.50. Second hand so no reads. Is it worth throwing in a raise on this flop given it's a relatively small proportion of my stack to see whether opp really has the A or is this just pissing away my chips?

this early and at these stakes, I don't re-raise. I am done here.

sucks. but I keep my chips for a time when I can really exert my authority rather than feed the Ace-Rag crew.

It's the second hand so you KNOW there are donks out there who love their A's. If the A didn't hit the flop I would raise the flop bet, but with the A there save your chips. Just fold it and move on.

i'd just fold the flop, but this isn't terrible, so long as you're also done if he flat calls the C/R.

I would have called the pre-flop but folded after the original raise after the flop without the check-rasie.... that A is out and you know second hand someone was in just to see if they hit it.... most likely that bet was due to hitting the A.... even before the 600 rasie to your check raise...

Wow.... I need to go home... I had to reread that too many times..

I wouldn't if the flop had any A, K, or Q. Not worth it. Pot is small and you called the preflop raise to play for a set pretty much.

The flop raise is fine, but you have to fold when he reraises that big. Calling this is pissing your chips away.

You don't think raising a bet by a pre-flop raiser on the second hand of the tourney with an overcard (especially since that overcard is an A and people LOVE to play Ax) to your pair is pissing away chips?

That is a good point. I didn't include those in my original post as a lot of people will raise with Ax, but will limp with Kx or Qx. He could however have raised with AK or AQ.
