obv you are getting allin on that flop, but what did you put him on preflop to call his reraise?

The re-raise is scary as he could have AA (not as likely with you having one, but possible), KK, AKs, or possibly QQ.

However, getting over 2 1/2 to 1 on his all-in makes this tough to lay down

I was wondering that myself as I wrote my reply. I am not sure I would have called the pre-flop re-rasie with AJs, especially if my range of hands above is close.

I put him on AA, KK, QQ, AK. Don't call the preflop reraise. If you do call it, you have to push the flop. AK is probably slightly less likely to reraise PF, and AA is less likely just because it would require all the aces to be out. That makes KK and QQ the most likely holdings, which you beat.

But fold to the PF reraise.

with shallow stacks and a good suited ace on such a weak raise?

Hmm. I think that shallow stacks are all the more reason to fold to the re-raise, AJ is not that good of an ace, and that raise looks a lot more like a monster than a weak hand. This is an auto-fold for me.

I think he has KK or QQ so I'd definitely call the flop.

gotcha, i agree with the fold pf in retrospect. results made no sense btw.
