Default JJ hand, flop all undercards with lots of action

vqc i left in the results because the questions i'm gonna ask will pretty much reveal that i lost the hand.

reads: utg had been in every pot so far and very aggressive, MP2 I felt was solid but its still early so not sure.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    MP1 (t1320)
    MP2 (t1450)
    MP3 (t1970)
    CO (t1960)
    Button (t1470)
    SB (t1440)
    Hero (t1500)
    UTG (t1140)
    UTG+1 (t1250)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, J.
    UTG raises to t150, 2 folds, MP2 calls t150, 4 folds, Hero calls t120.

    Flop: (t465) 4, 7, 3 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets t199, MP2 raises to t1300, Hero calls t1300, UTG folds.

    Turn: (t3264) 6 (2 players)

    River: (t3264) A (2 players)

    Final Pot: t3264

    Results below:
Hero has Jd Jc (one pair, jacks).
MP2 has Ah Ks (one pair, aces).
    Outcome: MP2 wins t3264.

    My take:

    Pre-flop:
Once i saw JJ and utg Raised as usual I was going to put him all in (or atleast reraise) because he was a maniac and 90% has crap here (suited junk, Ax, med-low pair).

MP2's Call changes the situation. I think he may have a strong hand that he will Call AI with, so i just call. For a brief moment considered the squeeze play (was just reading about it this evening) but quickly eliminated that as useless at this buyin.

    FloP:
flop is favorable and i think this is where i made my initial mistake. I chk with the intention of chk raising AI. The pot was nice so i shouldve just moved to take it down there putting the pressure on my opponents to make the mistake.

so i chk, utg bets as expected, MP2 goes AI... crap!

I still think i have the best hand here. I put MP2 on TT+, ATs+, AQo+. I think AA & KK reraise Preflop maybe even QQ. But I think i'm only behind QQ here.

Now I know you might say that i'm being results oriented and truth be told had i won this hand i probably dont think deeply about it or post it, but was the call the correct play here?

perhaps i'm being pedantic but this is what got me; had this guy pushed pf i fold this in a heart beat, knowing its a race at best. however, i just ran this through pokerstove and nothing has changed with this flop: its still a race and i called.

Winning does not garantee vitory (though it increases my chances) and losing all but garantees defeat.

so what do you guys do call/fold? and was that chk on the flop horrible or what?
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

Given that UTG is continually raising, MPs' calling range (against him) is very wide. You want to raise here most of the time. I will often play JJ softly but here is not the spot.

MP can actually make this play with any pair. The more I look at this, the more I think a call is OK. You have shown so much weakness I'm sure he assumed you had zip, and he knows UTG has nothing. Leading out on the flop makes more sense.

Having said all that you got your money in here as a massive favorite, get over it.

Preflop call was good given your read - although I can see the rationale for raising. But you HAD to push that flop before someone else did. Can't give anyone a chance to hit overcards and it's possible it would have been checked around.

It's a tough call on MP2's push - not sure how I would have handled it. UTG push would have been an easy call.....

I think I still call, and expect MP2 to show non-set pp excluding AA/KK/QQ... (I think he pf reraises with any of those, although given UTG looseness, he may slow-play those hands - but you'd think he'd reraise anyway just to get heads-up against UTG....)

you still shouldn't post results on a hand like this. even if we can tell you lost, there's a big difference between losing to QQ and AK here.
