Standard raise is fine preflop. I might go with 650 on the flop and push any non club turn, but have no problems with taking it down. I don't think he would be getting the right odds to call the flop bet (3 to 1) with any hands I could see him holding at this point.

this is pretty standard i think. please don't push preflop.

Pushing pre-flop is a sneaky play if you've been pushing alot of hands already.

But if no one is tired of all your AI's pre-flop then you gotta play it like you did.

    1. overvaluing mid pocket pairs
    2. knowing you should fold, but donkishly calling or raising anyway

You're creating the illusion that your opponent has fold equity, hence might push with hands you have a big enough edge over to be happy to get all of the money in.

The other thing a smaller bet does is balance out all of the times you don't want to or just plain can't call a push.

I used to spend a lot of time thinking about how I make different hands look the same way. Now I think about how that fits it with a game that exploits particular opponents and what less exploitable opponents think after those hands.

How I play AA is a very key template, as I make quite a few other spots look like AA.
