The raiser had been raising semi-frequently, as he was bigstacked.

    Call, push, or fold here?

I think you have to push this here. standard raise from bigstack on btn. Though the min raise is a concern if his standard raise has been 3xbb. if so you could stop n go on a favorable flop. alot depends on how bigstack has been playing.
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

If he's been stealing alot with 2x BB bets then this is definately a push and just hope he actually didn't catch a hand here.
    pulling a courtiebee pŏŏl-ĭng ā kôrt-ē-bē (verb phrase):
    1. overvaluing mid pocket pairs
    2. knowing you should fold, but donkishly calling or raising anyway

you say he's been raising a lot. if they've been minraises, then instapush this.

You're more likely to get in the money when it's good if you just push this pre-flop. He's got a stack and probably got it via luckboxing some terrible plays. He's not going to make a weak laydown.

AK, AQ, AJ are bad hands to stop-and-go, because you always end up getting called when you don't want to be, and vice versa. It's better to just push preflop with these hands. The best hands to stop-and-go with are small pairs. I do it with trash sometimes too.

This pot isn't big enough for a stop-and-go anyway.

What is the point of a stop and go int he first place?

Pushing people off hands who won't fold stuff like QTs,77, etc. until they see a flop.

To create fold equity when u dont have any and your only chance of getting anything out of the hand is to get them to fold. RIght?

Something like that. I wouldn't say that nessiarly your only chance to get value is a fold when you stop'n'go.

Basically, you're banking on the fact that hands other than AA-JJ miss or catch a weak piece of the board more often than not and won't be comfortable backing it with their stack. But then again, people make some pretty darn loose calls. Meh. Do the math and think this one through for yourself.

As I'm sure everyone in the SnG forum knows that I never ever faff around with a stop and go, I push this. AJ beats the average hand the guy is raising with, based on your read, and you'll probably get a call from some much inferior hands because of his chip stacks.

I already know my answer and its not the stop and go.
Im not tyring to make him fold Ax here, im not tyring to make him fold KT here. Im pushing preflop becuase my hand is wayyyy stronger than his range of hands and if hes going to call then so be it. If not, then im happy that he folds becuase there is alot of chips int he pot. The stop and go isnt meant to be done with strong hands becuase with strong hands you want to get it all in.
