that's a pretty big pf reraise, but i definitely like not having to make that decision on the flop.

An Ace almost never comes up here.
So do I maximize my EV by reraise pf and then hoping that the A doenst pop up?

Your min-reraise was too small. A bare Ace is only about a 2.3 to 1 dog and you're giving them 3 to 1. Most preflop raises should be about 3x the initial raise to cut down your opponents odds, so you should usually raise to about 1000 here. Of course any time you put more than half your stack in preflop you're committing yourself, so given your stack size you should just push all in. You should be happy to pick up a decent pot without a flop or force the other guy to make a BIG mistake by calling.

I tailored my pfr so that my stack post flop wouldve been a pot sized bet.

But I guess SHOVE is the best here.

When I see thinking players make these raises, it's almost always a big hand. Something to ponder.

I've saved countless chips folding to these tiny raises in situations where I would've insta-called if someone had just shoved all-in. The "tricky" players end up tricking themselves against me. Unless they're actually making those raises with air, which I doubt.

The problem with your line in this hand, VQC, is that your flop push is arguably less likely to get called than if you'd just shoved them all-in preflop. If you go all-in preflop most of the bad players in low-stakes tournaments will call with anything they'd raise with, but they'll fold the flop if they don't have anything. I think shoving preflop has a lot more value.

I couldn't tell you. This is why I try to get my money in preflop as much as possible in these MP raise situations - bear in mind he may be more inclined to call an over-push because:
    a) It looks silly.
    b) He has the stack to be able to cover dropping 1800 to an all in pot.

No, but check/call is now a valid line.

A push could be still Valid. His range is probably AJ+, 1010+ (am i wrong?). If you push here he is immediately thinking AK. So if he has AQ or AJ, i'd be suprised if he called. But then again it's a little read dependent, your question is "can this guy make a fold?"

Check/call mode is an option... he might try to push you out though, thinking you are weak, and you are...
