The all in push on the river really only works when someone makes a draw while your hand beats that draw... hence if a draw was made with that 4 of spades, I like the push, since your opponent has odds/emotional ties to the hand to call, while you are putting your money in when usually a favorite.

I don't mind the flop check-raise if you are guaranteed to get some type of flop bet and dead money calls with it... and you nailed the hammer with a killer bet which was nice because, in the end, bottom two pair is still not that great due to the draws + potential counterfeiting opportunities (nothing like another ten on the turn/river and the large pot you watch slip away)
