Tough to say without circumstances, but chances are you had at least a couple marginal edges to exploit in that mess and did little with it.

Once in a while I'll be in a MTT, and be getting cold cards. A chronic blind stealer will raise, and I'll push with something silly like A8 because it's ahead of his range. The thief will turn over JQ offsuit, I'll double up and say in the chat "Found an edge!"

When your stack is average or above, you're looking for big edges, or small ones against short stacks. When you fall below average, you're taking risks looking for any kind of edge.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

That's very likely a leak (although not a big one).

In response to the actual post I have two comments:

    1) you will get comments saying that you need to stop playing your cards and start playing some poker - but actually just playing your cards and being patient will get you very far and I'd rather you do that than start overplaying without reads just to show that you can "PLAY SOME POKAH!!"

    2) you did leave out a lot of the important stuff so even if you are just playing cards there are some hands in there that depending on the situation you could have played. Then again, depending on the action in front of you and your postiion at the table it is very possible that I would have folded every single hand there as well.

As a general rule I like to run at least 2 stone cold bluffs in the first 5 orbits. Did you try any?

a little town called none of your goddamn business
You only get premium hands about 8-9% of the time. A run of cards this poor isn't entirely unreasonable. Just imagine how hard it is to get a pocket pair? One in twenty hands!

in all seriousness, I would love those for the first 46 in a tourney. and no one wins in the first 46 hands.

With the T's, I think you need to think ahead of time what you are going to do if you miss the flop. With 1600 and blinds are a combined 150, I would rather check to see a flop and fold if you miss. If you want to make a play from the bb, I would rather push pre-flop, or raise as you did pre-flop and then push the flop instead of throwing out a 500 bet. I think that you were feeling a little impatient and thought that you had to make a move. You probably thought that this hand was the best that you have seen and had to go with it. You're stack isn't too bad at 1600 or 1500 after the blinds. You have to be extremely patient. Sometimes you just get no cards and end up pushing when you have to in order to stay alive. Don't sweat it.

Just a phase I'm going through. Also 27- and 45-player SNGs are playing pretty tight nowadays.

    I'll start my own thread
