Default Update: still not respecting the limp reraise

Sorry, but I'm not. at $10 and $20 SNGs it's AT or worse 2/3rds of the time.

At what blind level? In early rounds I'd tend to agree, the out of proportion all in reraise is probably an impulsive bluff from a bad player. On the other hand, if a short stack limp/pushes on or near the bubble he almost always has a hand, especially if he's open pushed a few times before. At least that's been my experience.

I did it with AQ the other night, 2 limps behind then the SB tried to pick up the pot with some donkey 3x raise. He folded like a cheap suit. This was a MTT at UB, either 40 or 100.

I agree. I think in many cases a limp re-raise early in the tournament is some donk who sees the initial raise as a steal attempt. The real question is - what hands are you pushing back with?

I have seen, in quite a few cases donks limp from UTG or EP with A's and K's because they don't understand the concept that those hands play better with fewer people.

Do I wan to call an all-in raise (and risk getting drawn out on or running into a real hand) just for the right to say - AHA, I knew you didn't have a monster hand?

Is there any way to determine if this is + or -EV? Can we realisticly put them on a hand range to determine this?

Or do we simpy let our miniscule amount of chips go and wait for a better spot to come, because you know it will.

You can parse the probability by judging the players intelligence level. If you've seen someone make some weird mistakes already, then it's less likely in my mind that they limp reraise KK AA.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I love stacking AA with a set in a limped pot.

I do as well, but here we are talking about a pre-flop check/re-raise.

I definitely think AQ is strong enough to make this play with, but at what point do you consider laying it down? Mid PP's?
