you need approx 500 extra to effectively whore

you could get the flat 25 bucks on party but it would be a waste. If you wait until you get 500 you can get 100bucks for the party welcome bonus

if you have a the time to spare for party poker. There is $360 in bonuses at party if you have the money and time to spare.

The best way to do it is like so (I just did it last week so it's fresh in my memory):

Deposit 500 into party via neteller using their welcome bonus code (check www.bonuswhores.com for this).

Play 500 raked hands. If you do ok at the tables you should be up to about 625-650.

Cashout 500. (I prefer, if you have the extra money, to simply deposit 500 more and then take out 500 shortly after. This makes you look less like a whore.)

Deposit 500 via IGMPay using their code.

Play 500 RH's. If you do ok at the tables you should be up to about 750-800.

Cashout 500.

Purchase a membership to pokerplayers alliance.

Use the 10 digit PPA code as your bonus code when you deposit 500 more into party via any method.

Play 700 raked hands. If you do ok at the tables you should be up to about 875-950.

Cashout 500.

Deposit 500 via epassporte. (you'll have to pay a small fee to load epassporte when you open your account)

Play 250 RH's. If you do ok at the tables you should be up to about 925-1000.

And thats how you double your bankroll. Make sure you spend some time brushing up on your small stakes NL cash game skillz (I think you only play sngs) before you take this on. And to do it quickly you will need to multitable. I did this in less than a week (see thread Renton's Bonus Whoring Adventure) last week.

You cannot do this in a week unless you have, on top of the original 500 bucks of "gambling" money, an extra 1000 bucks or so which will float in the various stages of cashout limbo. Other wise it'll probably take you more like 2-3 weeks. Also note that the other party skins have virtually the same bonuses that you can rip off all over again when you are done.

With one exception, I have never bonus whored. But, I also never really knew much about it at the time of my learning curve. I would think that bonus whoring would be very beneficial to players who play limit ring, or other common games. Without knowing first hand, I would have some reservations about bonus whoring sngs at an early learning stage if you are an sng-er. Structure changes create a different landscape, and play adjustments, and makes the games more of a challenge for the already challenged. Just my two cents.

My one exception was the Bodog 20% deposit bonus. I miss those days. I would just deposit $5k, play number of sngs required to keep bonus, withdraw, rinse for 3 days, repeat.

TotalPoker, PlayWebCasino, etc. You can deposit $50, rake 1000 hands at a 10nL table and get a $10o bonus. The tables are bad, so just playing TAG you should rake in some extra cash.

At these sites a raked hand is when you are dealt cards, and a bet is made after the flop. So, you don't have to see the flop with cards, you just have to see the flop (standard I think). Some people think you have to commit money, and that is wrong/misunderstanding.

I'm not sure why this is in the SnG forum. No SnG bonus for $50.

I disagree with some of the advice in this thread. A lot of sites have bonuses for SNG's and if you're a new player trying to build a bankroll, it's smart to take advantage of them. I did, when I was getting started.

PokerStars has a 20% deposit bonus up to $120 that runs for the next few days. What that means for you is, if you deposit $50 before the end of this weekend, and play 20 $5.50 SNG's, they'll give you a $10 bonus. PokerStars doesn't have bonuses very often but it's a great deal when they do. I just deposited $600 to take advantage of this bonus.

PokerRoom and Pacific Poker have bonuses for first-time players, but you have to play a lot more SNG's than you do on PokerStars to earn an equal amount of bonus money. On the flip side, those two sites have the weakest competition that I know of, especially at the $5 buyin level. If you're thinking of switching sites you might think about one of these two sites.

I agre with mcat, the PS bonus is definitely worth taking advantage of and doesn't come around very frequently. The beauty about playing PS $5.50s on this deal is that they effectively give you 60c back for every one you play so you're actually ahead a little bit before you even start!

Apparently you seem to be switching sites anyways, so I would just deposit that at PS and stay there. With a $50 bankroll I would worry more about improving than bonus whoring.

Like has been said, I'd reload on Stars for that bonus, then work on your game. Once you have $100-200, if you're comfortable trying other sites, go through PSO or another affiliate (usually requires a $100 minimum deposit) and do some promotions for extra cash on top of the room's own deposit bonus.

Thanks guys.. I have been told to move to Stars by several people. Its weird when you first move sites.. I played party for ever... They had a christmas bonus once .. Play with 100 bucks and if you can play 500 raked hands by the end of the month you get to keep what you made. I fricken made like 400 bucks. Very happy camper. However; yes my question was in regards to SNG's. Its always nice to get some extra money if you are making the change. Thanks for the advice. This had nothing to do with ring games..

Thanks for the reminder about pokerstars. I haven't played there in quite a while, but there is something very attractive about their bonii.

First of all, you can stack their bonii. Meaning, that you don't have to complete any previous rec'd bonii to receive any new ones. Also, you can withdraw your deposit without losing your bonii.

So for me, while I don't care to play pokerstars at the moment, I should be depositing to receive their bonus, and I can of course immeidately withdraw, and it should sit there, and continue to add up until I decide to play. Just an FYI.

I don't know which it is, I'm just saying look into it before you withdrawal immediately.
