Default Satellites that pay only 2 or 3 spots

I've been playing a lot of satellites lately on various sites, because the quality of play in them is a joke and I think it's more +EV than a normal MTT for me. Anyway I satted in to the WSOP 200+15 super satellite tomorrow night on UltimateBet. It pays out a seat to 1/60 so I imagine there will be a small number of seats awarded, perhaps 2 to 4.

In case I'm fortunate enough to get there, I'm wondering whether anyone has any specific advice for how to handle the final table, once it gets shorthanded and only a few people remain to be knocked out. I'm very good at playing the bubble in a normal satellite, just fold everything and let other dumbasses knock themselves out. But here what if no one is dumb enough to just beat themself? I'd appreciate advice for if I'm

    -a big stack
    -a medium stack
    -a desperate small stack

    Thanks!

That's great and all, but it's not like WSOP satellites are the main thing I play. Most of the satellites that I play, are on Stars and can be redeemed for T$ or W$. Anyone have experience playing satellites and has an answer to my actual question?

I would not call that good bubble play, punish the players that play like this and take their chips. I guess satellites will be VERY passve if you make it to the final table.

I blew a huge stack in a satt playing tight. I was 2th-5th through most of the first 2 hours. Busted out in 22nd paying 18. Blinds went up so fast I sneezed what with all the dust flying off 'em.

I won a free roll sat to the party 200k once. Top two paid. What happened with me though, is that there was this humongous stack that just sat there while I duked it out with the third guy for the second place prize. It was essentially a heads-up match.

OMG. ShipItThisWay is directly to my left. He's one of the best cash game players on the Internet. Oh well, wish me luck guys.

Well you guys are right, I'm not going to play any more satellites to big events for a long time unless I can unregister for $$. I got totally chewed up and shat out just like I did in the Million Dollar Guaranteed and my confidence is at an all-time low now.

I made a couple of terrible calls early on including calling a big bet on the river in a blind battle, with 4 diamonds on board, I had the J and he had the A of course. So my stack was at 2000 in the second hour, ShipIt kept coming over the top of my raises all-in. Then I'm at 1500 and get QQ in early position, raise to 300 and he re-raises to 600 instead of all-in, and a terrible player in the BB goes all-in. I'm not worried about the BB at all but I know for sure ShipIt has me beat. I call all-in anyway and sure enough he has KK. Bad beats don't really bother me at all anymore but when I play terribly, calling huge bets when I know I'm beat, it still bothers me a lot.
