Default So here's a hand I donked up pretty good.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (8 handed) converter

UTG (t2280)
UTG+1 (t2830)
MP1 (t990)
MP2 (t1170)
CO (t2625)
Button (t1125)
SB (t775)
Hero (t1705)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T, 5.
[color:#666666]4 folds, CO calls t150, [color:#666666]1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t450) T, 9, 8 [color:#0000FF](3 players)
[color:#CC3333]SB bets t150, Hero calls t150, CO calls t150.

Turn: (t900) 3 [color:#0000FF](3 players)
[color:#CC3333]SB bets t300, Hero calls t300, CO calls t300.

River: (t1800) 6 [color:#0000FF](3 players)
SB checks, [color:#CC3333]Hero bets t1105 (All-In), CO calls t1105, SB calls t175 (All-In).

Final Pot: t4185

On the flop, I check in my BB. No problems there, I don't think. Actually Flop a real hand. I flop top pair, and a flush draw. Does anyone see any merit in coming over top of the SB's raise here? Surely, he's not folding, but what are my odds of knocking the limper out of the pot? do I want to do that, since I want paid if I hit a flush. I opt to simply call, but I think this was error number 1.

Turn's a blank. I call, getting 4-1. I still kinda think my Top pair might be alright here, but I'm really looking to catch an out, with the diamonds, tens and 5s out there, I figure it's worth it... It may not be, but it's borderline at best. at this point, I actually want to keep the third player in in case I hit... the SB isn't offering me much in the way of implied odds.

Then I hit... and push. This is clearly my biggest tactical error in the hand. Why?

i push flop. You odds of knocking out the limper after a bet a a raise are pretty good. What hand are you worried about him having?

I think you're looking to someone to say you only get called by a bigger flush but I think 7 pays you off almost always. And if you think a better flush draw is out, your call on on the turn is not good.

Push is wrong b/c your T high flush draw is weak and CO is calling down all the way...obv a draw as well, one that likely has you beat.

In retrospect, I definitely should have pushed flop.

We know that the Short stack is going all in here on the river. If I check and call, I have a chance to be paid off by a worse hand. I'm more or less committed to call anything here., but if I shove, I greatly reduce my chances of being called by anything other than a bigger flush. Shoving is -EV here.

On the flop, minimally raise to 625.
