Default $16: Trips in the BB

Fine? I'd figure either a low flush or a higher trip kicker protecting their hand. Too early for a read on the bettor.

I was thinking to bet the turn but that would put me in more trouble I'd think.

I think betting the turn is a very viable option (and folding to any raise of course). Check-folding here isn't atrocious either. But I don't think leading the turn is going to get you into any trouble.

You're probably right, I think I denied myself some info here to make a better decision by not betting.

Although I think I probably saved myself chips here either way.

    Here's what I woul'dve done:

Flop: Bet the pot (120). If he calls, he either has a Qx or 2 diamonds. He may or may not call. There are 2 diamonds on the flop and you already know up to this point you have the best hand with top trips. Protect your Queen.

Turn: A of diamonds pops up. Pot is now at 360. Ace not a scare card, but diamond is. So now you have either a flush, flush draw, 55, or a Qx. Saying he called on the flop, you make a same value bet of 360. A reraise and he's got the flush or a better kicker with Qx. If he calls, he is gambling on a flush draw now with over a 3rd of his chips already in the pot. This is where on the river you push, no matter what comes up.

As far as where it stands currently on the turn, I'd say your check was the wrong move. I'd say a bet of 300 may push him out considering your post flop bet was minimal indicating possible flush draw on the flop and made it on the river. What comes on the turn calls for a push no matter what comes up.
