When is an opponents bet an “overbet” and when is it a “value” bet?
Sorry if this is a little vague, but hopefully it might engage some discussion. Reply with some questions if you think I am a babbling fool!
Simply put I bet for value on hands that may be ahead on the flop but there are scary draws out there that my opponent might catch if I don't play the flop aggressively.
I overbet the flop when I want them to call when they think I haven't hit the flop and am on a steal or trying to get them to fold it. I't's all about your table image, their perception of you, for the overbet to work
