My play at later streets gets really bad sometimes.

Here's the deal. I felt like I was ahead of him, or he had a set. My read was that he was a fish. On the river I figured if he has a set, I'm losing my stack anyways, so I pushed for some reason. How much do you bet river?

I'd bet about that, maybe 3/4 pot. I don't want to fold hands that I beat.

I think the turn bet was too small, personally. It was close to 1/2 pot...

This is realy bad reasoning. Let's say he either has a set or nothing. If you push the river, he's folding the nothing and calling the set. If you check the river, and he's got the set, he might not put you all in and you can call and not lose your whole stack. If he's got nothing he might try to bluff and you can pick him off. Check/calling is a much better line than pushing here, there's no value to a push.

I have my doubts about villain calling any reasonable riverbet with a hand you have beat. I think I checkcall here, trying to induce a bluff from a busted (flush) draw. Betting is also a option, but you shouldnt bet more than ½pot.

Dude, this is not true at all. Not everyone's a nit, ya know?

As for the hand, I bet more on the turn like $40, and then your river bet will be fine. As played, I think the river bet is too large, and consequently hard to get value from a crappy hand that's been calling you down. As for the c/c line, that all depends on what you put him on. Anything other than a busted flush draw or monster, he's checking behind here.

You've told him time and again that you have a big PP and he doesn't wanna back down. If he doesn't have a set, he's truly miserable...

If he's been calling with air, he won't anymore. So, try to get him to put money in the pot in an attempt to steal this pot with his air.

Let's say he has a set and has been slowplaying you. You check, he thinks your hand isn't very strong, he value bets the river for you, hoping for a call. This is much cheaper than you betting the river then him raising you. If he thinks you feel weak with your hand, he's not going to push all in with a set because he doesn't want you to fold.
