    Default Good raise on the bubble?

    $10 18 man SnG, all 5 players are tight. 4 pay. Is it smart to be playing here, regardless of the fact the majority of the time I have the best hand and take the blinds?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    SB (t6050)
    BB (t2875)
    Hero (t7550)
    MP (t7890)
    Button (t2635)

    Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, K.
    Hero raises to t1000, 3 folds, BB raises to t2850, Hero calls t1850.

    Final Pot: t5775

    you want to play BECAUSE you have the best hand and will likely take the blinds. I may not understand the question. This is standard.

    so i should be getting involved with the shorties if i can take a coinflip?

    If he does have an ace, am I still getting enough odds to call? I'm getting 2.4 to 1.

    without thinking. Download poker stove and run KQ vs any A. if you knew for sure somehow you were dominated, you could fold, but vs say A8 up it's an easy call. Calling also has the added benifit of letting people know you aren't to be trifled with.

    You are betting half your stack to see a flop.... on the reraise, i either push to a race, or i fold there...

    Ace flops, you quit, underflop, you quit (he probably has a PP or an ace)

    Why call half your stack against another big stack on the bubble to hopefully hit a K/Q w/no ace...????? stupid to me....

    fold the hand, look for a better spot, or race....(i wouldn't race, usually he'll go all in w/ a PP and he'll reraise with a BIG pp)

    edit- was looking at SB stack, he DID go all in.... marginal call

    It's fine, you aren't in terrible trouble if you lose this hand to make this a bad play. Bubble aggression is good.
    pulling a courtiebee pŏŏl-ĭng ā kôrt-ē-bē (verb phrase):
    1. overvaluing mid pocket pairs
    2. knowing you should fold, but donkishly calling or raising anyway

    this was my range on him.

    Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

    2,198,598,336 games 3.171 secs 693,345,422 games/sec

    Board:
    Dead:

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 36.0818 % 31.76% 04.32% { KQo }
    Hand 2: 63.9182 % 59.60% 04.32% { 77+, ATs+, KQs, ATo+, KQo }
    so with 2.4 - 1 odds this call would still be bordline ok? This was probably the same range the other short stack had, so I'm guessing I'm getting 4 folds in the spot A LOT

    Cross your fingers and call.. I would play it the same.
