Is the only way to succeed at these rebuy X amount of money garenteed tournies is to go allin with any good or marginal for the first hour?

no. You can wait for good hands, and call the people who are moving with anything. Get ready to have KK cracked once or twice by 76o. If you (or your BR) can't handle that, save yourself the heartache and play FOs instead.

Yep, you have to realize that your monsters a LOT more vulnerable because of the range of hands they'll call with. Just today I had AA cracked by TT, 99 cracked by 65s, and KT cracked by 99 on flop of T52.

I love these tourns! I have made it to the final 2 tables twice in the $10+R. Sadly I lost races on both just before FT (I think 14th place on both). Nothing feels better knowing you have a shot at $16,000+. (I think 1st has been over $20,000 with the higher gaurantees now).

Just for fun, look at the stuff that happens in these tourns. This is a little over 30 mins into it, and look at this beat I put on these people!
