Default First big live MTT Advice?

Alright later today Tuesday, I am going up to turning stone casino right near my school Suny Albany to play a 40 dollar + 1 25 dollar addon tournament... I am looking for any advice that you think will be helpfull, It is my first casino experience but I have played in home game tournaments. I know all the basics of mtt play just lookin for like advice to possibly help reduce my inexperience at the table...

I plan to take the same amount of time to play each hand. I know its easier said then done but I think it will help reduce any tells that I may be unaware I give off.

    Any other advice?

don't make "string bets"..I keep doing this in live games/tourneys and it's really embarrasing, and it makes you look bad..lol That is, calling a bet by placing the chips in the middle and then reaching back for more chips to raise with- if you raise say "raise" just to avoid any confusion. Other than that, good luck, you will probably be surprised by the number of truly bad players you will be able to take advantage of.

You're going to be shocked at the number of terrible players there. It will also be much easier to determine who knows what they're doing and who is a moron. Don't be intimidated, I haven't seen you play but if you post on here, I'm confident you'll be one of the better players there.

I remember my first live MTT experience. There were about 5 people at my table of 9 with sunglasses on and every one of them didn't know how to play. I am not whethered with casino play whatsoever, but even with my first experience my ability to read people online was a big help in live.

It will be a lot harder at first doing things such as calculating the size of the pot for betting, seeing how much chips someone else has; but these things come with time. I went bust at the FT my first experience because I neglected to keep looking at stack sizes. My reads were pretty good, but I underestimated the power of the chip leader.

    KISS

    Keep it Simple Stupid.

Do everything you would online. Keep track of blinds compared to your chip stack and when and how much blinds will be increasing to know when you need to increase your aggression. Watch betting patterns of your opps. When you plan on making a raise, just announce it (both that you are raising and forhow much) and then you won't get in any trouble regarding string bets. Have fun.
