    Default 22$ FO (40K Gtd) 99 halfway

Blinds at 200/400. UTG+1 minraises to 800 (8.5K stack). No real read on Villain. Minraises/2.5x took the blinds a lot at this particular table. I'm next to act with 99, 4.8K stack. Your move.

I would push. With an M of 5 I'm not too concerned if he has a big hand just because he min raised in EP. Calling is weak and reraising with a small M is weak IMO as well. 99 is a strong hand now that your stack is low.

This is a push... simple as that
    I am that fish...

    currently broke as a joke...

Your only a dog to 5 hands, and with that few chips you should push. The most likely thing that happens is he calls you with two overs AQ, AK, and you are a slight favorite to win.

you need to be specifically afraid of the min raise not to push. Here it is clear. Calling is by far the worst.

    I concur. I push.

You have to push this with your stack. If you had an M of 8 or 9 you could fold this.

I was assuming antes. What site were you playing?

Yeah, if there are no antes, then you're fine. If there are antes, I'm shoving this unless villain seems like the type to minraise AA/KK looking for people like you to push.

Ah ok, I just read the post that said your M was 5. I think you can fold here then since there's no antes at this level or the next on party.

I think this is very close without a read (given that your M was 8). I probably push, but I don't hate a fold.

I do hate not having any read on what this raise means from villian in EP. You have to know at least a little, and that's all it takes to unbalance the scale for me...has he minraised a lot or not at all in your memory? Has he been raising frequently? Is this the first raise you remember seeing from him? Was he/you brand new to the table?

I have to have an answer to at least one of those to feel committed to a play...

I cant blame him for not paying attention, since I am guilty of that. The solution here is
Poker Ace hud which is a great tool for getting statistics,

Yet, without a read considering this is a 22 buyin I push. Yet, as JeffDog stressed, if we know ANYTHING about villan that will often be the deciding factor in close situations.

Kind of reminds me of the chard thread, which I stressed that many unmentioned factors in a post often are the true basis behind the correct decision.

Push, but close. I agree if M=5 not 8 then it's a clear push unless min/raise stinks FROM THIS GUY. 88/77 I would consider folding or flat calling if villian is weak post flop. 66 or less fold.

I think if you were OOP (blind) you would be better off STAGNAS, unless m/r is very tight (i.e. you have evidence that he m/r from EP then folds to a short stack push)
