Default set - good looking board for me - how to extract?

4th hand of a Stars 22. Catch a near perfect flop for me. In position, set up, A on board. How do I extract maximum value or do I just accept that, if villian is without an Ace, I have made the most I can here?

    raise the flop?

Doesnt look like there was much to extract here. Check behind on turn, I dont like that play so Id be left with your play exactly.

either raise flop, OR check behind on turn. If the river beats me I'm OK with it, it's very unlikely a free card hurts you. TT MAY bet again on river, but probably not, so I'd lean to raising flop and hoping for the A.

check behind on the turn was definitely the play.

I was tempted to raise the flop. Was thinking to ~540. Any thoughts?

I would have played it the same way. Let him have a card to catch up with. I would have probably taken it down on the turn as well and been happy with it. I don't think he had an ace or he would have come along. He made his one play at the pot and decided to give it up. No more chips to get here....

575, I like x75s. But yes, that neighborhood is good. It's too small for him to fold almost any A he raised pre flop, and it's fold-able enough he MIGHT put you on a draw. Min raise is no good, anything over 600 sets off alarm bells for AJ.

Ehh I probably play it the same way as you, Staresy, but I agree that checking behind on the turn sounds kinda good.
