PokerStars $10NL - Trip Aces Line Check
$10NL, I have a little more than 100 hands on the villain and he is tight passive preflop and aggressive postflop, 23/4.5/0.8. So the stats are nothing special, but villain is horrible [in terms of a $10NL player]. Anyways, Im in Co and pick up AQo, make a raise to 4xBB, get two callers. Flop comes with 2 spades and an ace, so I have TPGK. Villain leads with about a half pot bet here, I call. Turn comes a 5 of hearts, villain bets 3/4 the pot, I call. Turn comes another ace, I make trips, villain open pushes, I call. Looking back I dont think I played any of these streets well. I dont think I should be folding this flop, but should I be raising here to get a better idea of where I am at? The turn Im not so sure about at all. If Im calling the flop, shouldnt I be calling the turn as well? And on the river I made trips and villain pushes so I call. Thinking back, there arent a ton of hands I can put my opponent on. If he hits the ace on the flop, there is a good chance mine is higher, but also a good chance he had two pair and then hit a boat. A set is also possible. So basically the only thing I beat are weaker aces that didnt river a boat and pair of 6s, 5s, or Ts. How would you have played this?
