    Default buying myself a pc

hey, i live at home with the parents and basically am getting sick and tired of wanting to play some poker and then having to put up with waiting for my bros or parents to get off the pc...so i decided it would probably be best for me to just buy my own...basically i just want to be able to 4 table poker...lol...i dont play cs or any of that shit...so im not after the latest and greatest hardware...i want to spend as little as possible...do u think this is a good buy?

You're going to want more than 256 ram, trust me.

Never read any stickies or announcements
256mb ram definately no good.. and make sure your monitor can run at least 1600x1200, minimum.

You can go with any generic cheap CPU, and throw in a stick of 512. It should cost you next to nothing if you already have the monitor.

Windows XP will not run well with 256 ram. Make sure video card has digital out. Get something like a Samsung 204b or a Dell 2007FP for a monitor.
You will find that if you buy the system in pieces and get the computer shop to assemble it for you, you will get better parts and get better performance from the machine.
