I raise preflop here a lot to try to gain position on SB or just take it down preflop.

Villians play is sooo terrible... it looks like your up against a loose-passive calling station. I bet he calls you down with ace high here.

His turn bet looks like one of two things to me...either he has the straight and doesn't want to scare you off....or he is worried about you having the 9....although what hand would make him worried about the 9...8x or PP, although he doesn't seem like the overly aggressive type so I am not sure about him holding 55, 66, 77 and betting the flop...and 10-10+ probably raises preflop, so I am guessing he has the straight and probably calls or has 8x and it is split.

What hand did you put him on that would make a river bet profitable? The limp from the button rules out most higher pocket pairs and with the raise on the turn I cant imagine he is getting away from his hand. But the smallish bet looks like you are almost value betting the river which kinda confuses me. With villains line I really dont know what Id put him on, and if we beat it, I dont think hed call any bet on the river. So what did you put him on?

Looks like 67 hit a pair on the turn and stuck around.

Given how trips are usually played, yes. I figured at worst I split here a lot.

I don't understand.... i think by the turn it looks like weak trips. The check on the river might be to induce a bluff.

sorry but that looks like trips is a good possibility.

I think if villain is the type to bet the pot with trips on the flop, he won't bet so weak on the turn when a straight card hits.
