A couple of hands...

Results 1 to 6 of 6

    Default A couple of hands...

    Two consecutive hands...

I've just topped up, villain is LAGG, had bluffed me off a middle pair with air earlier on and hadn't been giving my button raises much respect, so I limp in to see a good flop, which I get, and more.

Question(s): Anyone think I could/should have milked more on the turn/river?

    UTG: $142.05
    UTG+1: $19
    CO: $79.05
    Hero: $100
    SB: $194
    BB: $100

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with 4 A
3 folds, Hero calls, SB calls, BB checks.

    Flop: 4 4 Q ($3, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks.

    Turn: K ($3, 3 players)
SB bets $3, BB folds, Hero raises to $6, SB calls.

    River: 4 ($15, 2 players)
SB bets $8, Hero raises to $20, SB calls.

    Results:
    Final pot: $55
    Hero showed 4s As
    SB showed Kc 5s

Next hand I'm still a little jazzed from my quads, call a raise in the CO and flop TPTK. Tight-passive villain pots it, I raise, he calls, so I'm beginning to think my TT is probably no goot. Turn's a blank but villain checks, so I take the free card and catch top 2. Villain leads out for 2/3 pot, I push, he folds.

Question: Was a river push the right play?

Hand one I always bet the flop but that is just my personal preference
As played I would raise turn to 9 and river to 30-how can he fold a king for 30 bucks?

I think he's got AK/AQ in hand two so I would minraise the river. You let him get away easy.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

I raise the flop to 21. I personally put the opp on AJ/KQ. The min-raise can be called by any 2 overs that doesn't believe you (even by a tight passive) The river play is good if you put the opp on AK-AJ. I see a lot of stubborn people calling with AK here and getting stacked.

Yeah, I paused a beat here 'cause nobody had obv. caught a piece so I thought it was worth it to see if someone would catch on the next street.

Lol. Seeing his hand, I think he would've folded the turn if I'd done that, but you're right. Fnord calls me a chronic underbettor and I'm trying to fix that.

Hmm...Villain was fairly passive so I put him on JJ/QQ after he called my raise, hence why I thought my TT might not be good. KK/AA would've reraised. But his river play makes your reads more likely. I just hadn't seen him c-bet much.

    Hand 1 is a stupid-easy river push.

I don't care for the routine min-raises either.

Yeah, my chronic underbetting is starting to bug me.
