    Default Trips vs Flush/Straight draws

One situation I find I have alot of trouble playing is when I hit a set or get trips and a flush/straight draw is on the board and opponent bets agressively representing a possible flush or straight. Take this hand from Lambchop's Stars million win:

    -----Hand 39-----
    lambchopdc's M = 17.96

If you were Jimmie how would you have played it? Do you let it go after lamb's re-raise on the river? I have a hard time letting this go and I continue to get burned by it. Thanks

I lead or CR flop. If opp does not have an A you aren't getting more money anyway.

You can see from Chop's play the check call was the worst line. I'm sure chop felt at best he was splitting with another weak A. What can call on that board besides a better hand?

This is a not a good example hand of set/trips vs draw getting there. If there are two hearts on the board and reasonable opp suddenly wakes up on river heart, then maybe you can lay down.

As opp played here, he can't fold, he played it weak the whole time, two pair, even something like AT probably feeling good. Slow playing trips is just meh.

jimmie's call on the flop just sends so many alarms off. Once he calls, lamb has to think that he might have the 6. As played, on the K turn, jimmie really needed to make a donk bet. He needs to put lamb on an A here and throw a bet out. Because of the huge likelihood of a split pot at this point, it would be very hard for lamb to fold (it looks like the best hand will be AA66K). Hard to get away from that river, can't fault jimmie there.

But I like opening with a bet on the flop there as jimmie's best move. The result might have been the same, but then he can call lamb a donk and be done with it - as played, he just gave lamb that pot.
