looks like he had u out stacked.

lead this flop, and make him understand u are willing to play for stacks. AJ and KJ ar both entirely possible villian hands.

u really need to get some info on him. If he re-raises AI then, u come to your reads etc.

Well, its hard to say. I would have lead out on the flop, possibly check-raised on the turn. As stated above, KJ and AJ are possible hands, KJ would be a hand he could have called with preflop, and then doing an info bet if he hit.
Although, since he was BB and you SB, He could have given you credit for nothing, thinking you were trying to steal.
I would have betted, but I would probably not have folded this unless I was pretty certain I was beat.
And without any real reads its hard to say if this is good or not. I´d probably go broken or double with this hand in a low limit tourney. But I would have done the betting myself.

Sorry i have added the stack sizes. Thanks for the comments I appreciate it. I think now maybe I should have led out on the flop but with such a strong hand i really didnt want to chase him away. I had been quite active at the table recently so its quite possible BB thought i was on a steal.

Heres how the hand played out:

    *** SHOW DOWN ***
BooBooBear7: shows [4c 4h] (a full house, Fours full of Jacks)
Kiluah: shows [Jc Qc] (three of a kind, Jacks)
    BooBooBear7 collected 2690 from pot

What made me post was that immediately after he critisized my play and said i shouldn't have slow played because "thats what happens, when you slow play you deserve to get beat".

"I have trips, therefore I bet."

That is the saying I go by. Get control of the hand.
