Default Pot odds-based call of shortstack push (PS $11)

SB had been sort of loose (VPIP 33%) and had turned up the aggression short-handed. This was the first time that he/she had pushed back against a preflop raise but had open pushed a couple of times once blinds reached 75/150.

What range do you put SB on here? I'm getting a bit over 2.2 to 1 on my money, so according to Pokerstove, I'm getting the right price if SB is doing this with 88+, AJs+, KQs and AKo.

Does anybody think that SB pushes with anything weaker than this range? Does anybody think that SB's range is tighter than this?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t4810)
    SB (t1735)
    BB (t1260)
    Hero (t2640)
    MP (t3055)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T, A.
Hero raises to t600, 2 folds, SB raises to t1735, 1 fold, Hero ?????

Why is your pf raise so big?

What range do YOU put him on?

I don't like calling based on pot odds. You did say this is the first time he pushed back preflop, and down to 5 way. The hands that do this could dominate you AJ+. I lay down to his push.

The reason you have good odds is because you raised 4x bb UTG. Only time I do that is with a big hand, QQ+, to limit the pot... I would probably fold this hand UTG, maybe give it a 2.5x raise.

Ummm...BB is 200, I raised to 600, my standard 3x BB raise? OK, maybe it could be 2.5x at 100/200 blinds.

I put him on 88+ (maybe 77), AT+, maybe KQ. At that range I'm getting the right price to call which is why I wanted to see what others thought about his range. It had been a very aggressive bubble with lots of pushing back to open raises, and SB is getting short stacked (although not desperate).

Considering the context - that the table has been very aggressive on the bubble, I'd say that's a crying call. I think with SB being relatively short stacked, he's getting desperate and looking for a good chance to steal. Especially if he thinks there's been a lot of aggression. I think your range might need to be even wider than 88+ AT+ maybe KQ, as any good player will loosen up when short handed games start to get overly aggressive. Frequent steals call for frequent re-steals.

My bad... I thought I saw the blinds were 75/150 so I was confused by the 600 raise.

With your description of the table and villian I would think you have to call this also.
