I'm not thrilled with it. I think there is plenty of time but...without a specific table table read...This play could be good ITLR. Do you have a skill edge? Was the table tight? Difficult? When's the next blinds raise? How much will it go to? There is more info needed to comment here.

Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

loose limpers doesnt tell much. if they are loose callers too then it doesnt matter. these types of plays have become more read dependent for me. id rather push any2 on a tight player than a marginal good hand on a loose caller

but for a general answer: utg+1 limp is kinda scary. id do it if the first to limp was in MP

    1. overvaluing mid pocket pairs
    2. knowing you should fold, but donkishly calling or raising anyway

his VPIP was pretty damn high, like 50% high, so he had pretty much anything and I was sure I was ahead of him.
more worried about the button limper.

So why are you pushing here? If you arent sure about your opp then pushing seems desperate. Getting called sucks so unless you can be more than reasonably sure that Button can fold lots of better hands than you or may call with lots of weaker hands...why push here? I understand the move you are using I just dont understand your application when you arent positive about your Button opp. I would rather try to pick up MORE chips in a less risky spot. Also...I think the blinds question I posed earlier has some serious merit in this hand

If you're worried about the Button then don't push this, LP limps are usually weaker hands unless someone is trying to trap with a monster.

to me this seems like a good play but then I'm constantly surprised at how often people will limp then call a big raise with hands like A8 or 55 or whatever. I can't understand how it can be better to limp 1/4th of your stack rather than raise your whole stack in this situation.

    I like.

700 in the pot with 2 limpers. You have 1600 left, you need to make a move sometime soon. This is a good spot imo unless villian 1 or 2 limp with big hands.

The only thing I don't like about this hand is you have AX. I like making this play with a hand that probably will be live if I get a call. What's the range on villians? Would they make a call with A9+? I would hate to see one of them flip over a better ace.

it's fine as long as your read on UTG includes the terms "complete fish" because the only thing worse than him limp calling here is limp folding.

I think a good way to think about this hand is as if Hobeken had just shoved from his position. With 600+ behind, and now getting like 2:1 on his money, I think he's calling. How do you feel about your hand now?

    Good point.

I didn't even notice he only had 600 left after he limped. I don't understand why someone would limp with a stack of 800 @200bb... this makes me think you should check this hand.... My guess is Hob is calling. This now gives Linda great odds to call with any 2. I doubt they will call, but after looking more closely I'm not sure I would do this with a shortstack limping.

Initially I thought that I really didn't like it at all. But envisioning sitting at that table, and seeing a habitual loose limper enter the pot, followed by a loose limper from the button, I think that it boils down to this question: Are you ahead of the short stack? I would not expect a call from the button. Since you seem to think that you are ahead of short stacks range, then it would be a good push. But I have a hard time putting A6 ahead of short stack and so I would have taken a free flop.
