Default Stupid Mistake but it happens all the time

Alright this is an example of a hand that I seem to always get into. First off, limping was a stupid move, but i assumed if i got an ace they would pay me off cause theyd expect a raise and i had been stealing the blinds quite a bit. But to the hand, it seems like i always try to get too much value out of hands.I mean, im almost positive im ahead on the flop, so i just call with the mindset hes gonna take another stab and ill get more chips. Even though i know this isnt good poker and i should raise on the flop considering the pot is already a nice addition to my chiplead, 25 ppl left in a 180 $20 btw, but i always try and do this. Any thoughts to help me discipline myself to avoid these situations. His allin screamed backdoor to me and i was rihgt backdoor striaght, but I gave him every possible chance there to catch up on the hopes of getting maximum value out of my hand when I needed zero value sitting as the chip leader. Any advice would be great.

    Post HHs.

If you know you shouldn't do it, don't do it.

Advice - Never slow play top pair. Rarely slow play two pair. Occasionally slow play a set. Sometimes slow play a straight or nut flush. Never slow play a low flush. Often slow play a FH. Always slow play quads.

When the blinds are worth winning, don't open limp.

You improve your discipline by going through what you just did, apparently in your case many times. There is no magic formula we can give you. A lot of people like the AOK post on MTT patience, have you read that?

I disagree about never slowplaying top pair. AK and maybe AQ on K-x-x and Q-x-x is a pretty good time to slowplay if you have position and put your opp on a pair between the K and the x's (jacks, tens, nines) and you know he'll probably hang himself drawing to two outs but may fold if you show a lot of strength on the flop.
