$22 18man, couple hands I want to check
Just had a couple hands in a party 18 man I want to make sure I played correctly.
Button was pretty aggressive and stealing a lot of pots when folded to, I'm sitting pretty good w/ AA here. I figured I could reraise, but he would just let his hand go, so I decided to mix it up and just call. I was pretty sure he would keep betting on the flop, I could probably lead weak and let him hang himself.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hero (t3753)
BB (t12612)
UTG (t3303)
UTG+1 (t3696)
MP1 (t4027)
MP2 (t3790)
CO (t2682)
Button (t6137)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A , A .
5 folds, Button raises to t1300, Hero ???
Hero calls t1100, BB calls t900.
Wasn't expecting the BB to call. Whatever, I still have the best hand possible right now. I figured the pot was going to be pretty big (bigger than my stack) so I would just push and take it down. Flop came pretty ugly, but I'm not laying this down.
Flop: (t3900) 5 , 4 , 6 (3 players)
Hero pushes [t2653]
Good? Next hand...
I just took about half of the chipleader's stack by slowplaying my flopped straight. I had been pretty aggressive and most of the table was just laying down but one guy (to my immediate left) really seemed to like to play back at me.

Hero ???
6-handed I have 99, pretty good but not thrilled. Seems like a standard raise.
Hero raises to t1500, MP raises to t3000, 4 folds, Hero ???
Sure enough, this guy comes over the top of me. Because of the frequency that this guy had played back at me, I really didn't think I was beat, but I definitely wasn't going to slowplay. Figured I might be flipping vs AK, AQ but that he would probably lay down other hands that I'm flipping with (AJ, AT, KQ) if I pushed, showed him that I had a real hand and wasn't always full of shit. Is a call better, with maybe a stopNgo on a non-A flop? I really don't like a fold because of his pussy reraise and because he had played back at me earlier, even without his blinds at stake.
Hero pushes [t11356] t1500, MP calls [t5259] t3000.
Flop: (t5400) J , 2 , Q (2 players)
Turn: (t5400) 7 (2 players)
River: (t5400) Q (2 players)
Final Pot: t5400
K, I was right about flipping, just happened to lose the flip. Whatever. I guess I was wrong about him laying down AJ, and he probably would have played stuff like JJ, QQ the same. Probably me being results oriented, but would this be a time to lay down a slight edge to protect my chip status?
Any comments would be great.
edit: I took out the last two hands because the thread was pretty long with them in and were low content, imo.
