Default 22 PS Early on AK hits on flop

Early on, no reads on opponent really. Should i have re-raised this early preflop? Was my flop bet enough? Thanks in advance.

I don't usually re-raise with AK this early. I think I just call it and prepare to play an A hi flop hard.

That said, I might be tempted to actually push pre-flop. There's a fair amount of dead money out there and I don't see this getting called by everyone who has put something in. Your 1220 stack could use some help and taking down 320 uncontested would be a nice pick up. Then again, it is still early.

I think I might play it as you did here (and cry when villian shows me his AQ)

As the pot gets bigger and bigger
you have more of an incentive to take it down.
THis is true preflop or postflop.

Getting all of ur chips in when u are ahead is a very very very underrated. Very often wat happens is "OMG i hti a real hand, I must extract value, small bet small bet small bet."

In this case getting all of ur chips in when ur ahead applies to preflop. There are sooo many chips in this pot compared to ur stack. I shove this alllll day and I am ahppy to do so.

I probably play this about the same way.

Thanks for the comments I really appreciate it. I was sure i was playing it something like right.. but here are the results below. Staresy you were almost right

Kiluah: shows [As Kd] (three of a kind, Aces)
Mkitt19: shows [Qc Qh] (a full house, Queens full of Aces)
    Mkitt19 collected 2960 from pot

Just one of those things! A bigger bet preflop wouldnt have chased him away, and he would have probably called an all in bet as well..
