    First hand ive been delt and .... wtf?

    I usually just check here preflop. As played, I fold to the push. You need a read to call this.

    Looks like an overpair to me - utg limp then call of a big raise. However, it may be 99, TT as well, and he can't lay it down, or it may be A2 or even K2 - at your level they are played far too often.

    It's a tough one. The one important piece of info you do have is that he can't be semi-bluffing. The way I would see it is this: if you call and lose (and you have 5 outs so you'll probably lose if you're behind), will you say to yourself "damn, what was I thinking calling such an overt show of strength without any reads on my first hand"? Cos if so, I'd take the cautious approach, fold, congratulate yourself on a prudent laydown, relaod and basically start again.
