Default QQ - bit of action in front

    PokerStars $20+2 No-Limit Hold'em SnG, Big Blind is t30 (8 handed)

minor reads - MP1 is a TaGG (and, according to sharkscope, a pretty useful player). MP2 is a LAGG according to DogOnMySide and has certainly been involved in quite a few pots already (still a winning player according to sharkscope)

    SB (t1240)
    BB (t1430)
    UTG (t3425)
    UTG+1 (t1855)
    MP1 (t1840)
    MP2 (t1290)
    Staresy (t1515)
    Button (t905)

Preflop: Staresy is CO with Q Q
2 folds, MP1 raises to t120, MP2 calls t120, Staresy asks FTR to assess his options (and provide some reasoning behind them) ....

I call and see a flop... your QQ is probally the best hand, but not worth risking it all on...

On a raggy flop, you can bet/reraise and see what happens from there...

If an Ace/King hits you can be fairly sure that one of them has it...

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

You have position on both of them but I would rather play this hand heads up so I would put in a re-raise of about 300 chips.

If you call you invite a call from maybe the sb and definitely the bb. I think a reraise is best here. I don't want my QQ going up against 4 people. I pop it up to around 300-350 and see what happens. If MP1 pushes, you can fold here giving him credit for at least AK.

I think you lose value calling with QQ here.

I dont like the call here. Your stack is too big to push so I put in 400.

I think 300 is too small as I dont see villian in this hand folding since its only 180 to call then.

Honestly if one villian pushes im calling. I think im ahead of most $22 players. Am I being too aggressive here?? Hmm

Pot odds after my 400 bet if im put allin is 1.6:1
Only behind AA,KK with 20% chance against them
Only AK is flipping. I think villians push AJ+, Maybe KQ+(ive seen it happen) and smaller PP.

I'm raising to 400, calling a push. If you don't plan on calling a push, you should just call and see a flop.

When it gets to you, there's 285 chips in the pot, and you have the likely best hand. Is this a regular or turbo? If it's a regular, I just call here. Otherwise, I'd be sure you think about pot odds for MP2 when it gets to him after MP1 calls your raise.

I don't think it's wise to just think of a player in terms of TAG or not. I mean, how tag? Is he a AK/QQ+ kind of tag? If so, then you could think that calling or (gulp) folding is reasonable (very doubtful, btw). Or, is he an AQ, TT+ kind of tag?

BTW, I don't think raising "for information" here is always useful. For example, if I was MP2, and I had AA, and Staresay reraises me to 375, I'm flat calling. Because I have both aces in my hand, I'm pretty sure he's shoving most flops, even if a K hits, 'cos it's pretty unlikely an ace is gonna flop.

The only problem I have with a call here is the odds that it gives the blinds. If we call there is now 405 in the pot. The SB is now getting just a frog's hair under 4 to 1 (105 call to win 405). If you are in the SB with a holding like 89s or 10Js (or even unsuited) would you make this call?

Then, if he calls the BB would then be getting almost 6 to 1. Suddenly you are playing Q's against 4 other opponents.

Is this a reasonable situation with the blinds at the 22's?

I would fold if I was in the blinds w/ SCS, even if I was getting good odds.

I think sometimes people take pot odds too far with SnGs. It's much more important to not lose your chips this early than it is to double up.

    Right on.. I agree here.

Reraising is a good option, however with your read on MP1 as Tagg you need to give him credit to a decent hand, so I think I am raising it to 300 and folding to a reraise
