Default Full Tilt SnGs -- fast blinds?

I'm a relative beginner to poker, and a complete neophyte in the SnG arena.

Currently, I play on Full Tilt, and after mild cash game success, I've decided I'd like to try the SnGs. I think I'd enjoy the style of play more, and at this point in my "poker career" it's all about trying new things...

My question: would I be better off trying a different site with slower blinds? The blinds move on 6m intervals on the regular SnGs, and 3m on the turbo. Based on Simon's guide, and minimal experience, that seems a little fast? Or is it not?

In your opinion, where should I start playing SnGs? My current roll is $304.

    Best,
    EW

I used to play at Empire and had the same problem, fast blinds and 1000 starting chips means you can't afford the luxury of playing tight early. I have since moved to Pokerstars where you start with 1,500 chips and the blinds move up every 10 minutes.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

Wow that is ridiculously fast.. what do the blinds start at? What are the stack sizes?

I personally can not play turbos.. when it comes to turbos it is mainly about catching cards. Sure you can gap a lot of the time, and if you know when to push/fold it helps.. but you get a lot more play out of SnGs with longer blinds.

Like Gator said, Pokerstars has 10 min blinds, starting stacks of 1500, and blinds start at 10/20. You have a good 30-40 mins before you starting getting desperate. If you prefer longer structure, which makes for more play, I highly suggest checking it out.

Full tilt has a lot more levels. For example the first 7 levels are 10/20, 15/30, 20/40, 25/50, 30/60, 40/80, 50/100. Stars goes from 10/20, 15/30, 25/50, 50/100. It ends up playing only slightly faster than a normal stars sng with it normally taking 1 hr 15mins to finish with stars being closer to an hour and a half. I actually like the structure better than stars.

Also, there is a 150/300 level so there's no ridiculous jump from the 100/200 25 to 200/400 level like on stars. Also there are no antes which I never really liked for sngs.

This is not true at all. Turbos are nothing about cards and are ALL about M and push/fold poker. If I wanted to play "real" poker, I'd play Ring. I play Turbo SnGs when I'm tired of grinding it out and I have an edge because many people who play turbos don't understand M.

I dont think turbo is all about catching cards. However it is more tuned towards preflop game then postflop.

I play both at stars and at fulltilt, usually turbo. The annoying part about fulltilt is getting used to blinds that dont divide by 50
