With no reads Im almost always going to fold a cbet against a check raise, I dont think its worth it to build a big pot without knowing your opponent

Absolute worst case he has an OESD, (like 78s). You have to fold. It looks like a set to me.

thanks for the info, guys. Just wondering if my betting was right, raising preflop in early position w/ AQ? I was just wondering if my bet was big enough. He was on the big blind and could have had just about anything... maybe flopped 2 pair on that ugly flop. I didn't stay around. I did fold. Just wanted to know if it was played right.

Pot is $2.10 and you bet $2? Seems like a heavy c-bet already. Easy fold. Maybe bet a little less on a flop you hit next time (or a c-bet), so you can let worse hands stay in?

    nothing wrong with heavy cbets

i often make large cbets when i have a marginal hand that doesn't want to get raised (like overcards and a gutshot) because when i get raised, i'll know i'm beat. also with missed cards on a paired board, i like doing this.

Heh, I'm not yet at the level to vary my c-bets with board options.. I just prefer to keep em consistent with my regular value bets (2/3-3/4 pot) on said board if I should have hit. Ofcourse my lower limit approach.

Raising AQo from EP is debatable. More than half raise it but a limp is fine.
I’ll limp, call raise or limp, fold to raise depending on raiser.
    Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL
