Tough spot, but I fold. Without reads that brody is a maniac, I think you have to give him credit for a 7. Your fold equity if you push here is zero given stack sizes and the size of his raise is just begging for a call IMO.

Tough fold because it leaves you with 865 chips which is short but not unplayable (particularly against $5.50 opponents).

All you can eat baby. If he's got a 7 or fours, then I hope I spike a Ten.

I don't fold good hands with shallow money.

I don't see him with calling preflop with a 7, although I would be concerned about JJ+. There are a lot of hands he could have called with that you beat here. My guess would be pocket pair, maybe even just two face cards or A high.

This is really read dependent. I play the $5.50-, and some players there are very aggresive with big stacks and not so great cards. He figures your probably missed that flop too and are just c-betting, and being the short stack you are will just give up your AK,AQ, or whatever he put you on.

If he has been loose, go for it. If he has been tight I would fold.

How did brody get his stack? Did he get it through donkish play gotten lucky or does he seem like a solid player? Reads are very important for me here.

One thing I missed was the check-minraise. Maybe I give $5.50 players too much credit for big hands when they pull shit like this, but maybe ark4748 is right, he may well have 88-99 or even a lower pocket pair and thinks he has a monster.

He shows you 4x a lot. 44/7x will smooth call a fair % of the time.

With AA/KK I would call and see how many chips he wants to donk off. With TT, you need to be concerned about more outs/action killers and there is an interest in establishing that you're quite willing to gamble so don't try this shit unless you want to play for stacks.

Personally I despise villain's line. He has a lot of nerve check-raising here vs. UTG raiser.

I do the exact same thing, nh triple.
