Early on, no reads, could i have played this any different? was my flop bet too weak and should I have folded this after the river re-raise or should I have checked the river here? Can i really assume this guy as the A? What would you do?

I play it the same as you. There's only one card you're worried about (discounting the straight flush), I think I take the chance that opp has a lower spade (or if they're a real donk, 2 pair/straight/set or worse). Besides, after opp has raised your river bet, there is 1875 in the pot and you have 830 behind, did anybody say pot committed?

I was going to suggest betting more on the flop but I'm not sure that betting 100 vs 60 would have prompted opp to fold.

They will call the turn with a wide range of weak stuff they'll check behind on the river when they would have called a bet.

problem here is, the way it's played, it's quite likely villian has it.

I check-call a reasonable amount on the river, but I am expecting to be beat more times than not.

Sc00b .... is this standard fare at the $55s? Are there really that many bad players still about at that level?
