    Default Personal Poker Goals etc.

I have just read an article on 2+2 regarding poker goals, mission, strategy and tactics (sounds more like a business plan now).

    http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/c...soare0506.html

I havent put together anything myself as to what I really want out of poker but I think when I get home from work I might actually put pen to paper and put something together. I think this concept was touched in Psychology of Poker so I may glance over it.

Anyway I am going to put one together and post it later.

Anyone wanna Hijack and put up some ideas or their goal.

Besides telling Doyle Brunson to "Ship it" as #1 Goal

Think about it if your serious in putting something together.
Don't you think that if you are going to try and get others to put some goals together, you should provide a link to said article?

Here were mine a month ago. They are not really financial based or anything, just stuff I want to do ...

    2. Move to (and sustain myself at) the $55s by September

I take quite a conservative approach with regards to BR management. Plus, I am eminently cautious when I move up a level, yet every time I have moved up, I have seen nothing that makes me think I don’t belong there.

    3. Take more time to consider each decision

I am getting very good at this, yet I still have lapses where I make instant decisions, rather than taking my time to work out what I want to do.

    4. Continually make notes and pay attention whilst I play

I do this at the moment, but I know I am prone to drifting off during the middle stages. Too many of my notes tell me that Player X likes to call raises w/ QT in MP when the blinds are 10/20 and not enough of them tell me what a player is like 4, 5 and 6 handed and whether they understand push/fold poker.

    5. Practise some multi-tabling

I find it hard to concentrate on two-tables at once, but I feel I should play more tables to increase my return.

    6. Write a SnG strategy in full as a further means of getting all my thoughts down and seeing if I have any fundamental leaks/gaps and …
    7. …Use said strategy to coach my g/f’s friend to play successfully

I taught my g/f how to play. She is doing ok. I think I have a way of explaining things easily to people.

    8. Develop my reading capacity so that …
    9. … I can fight harder for the pots where I think I’m ahead / win more when I’m sure I’m ahead

I think I check too many rivers where I think I can earn an extra bet and give up on hands because I am dithering about where I’m at in the hand.

    10. Play better live

I back away from situations in live games that I would not bat an eye at doing online.

OK I have put a bit of thought into this.

    Plan for Success:

    Vision (2-4 yrs) :

    1) Be Best tourney player at local cardroom

    http://www.sportingemporium.com/

    2) Make nice side income from poker

    Objective:

    1) 20%+ ROI at $11
    2) BR hits $800 step up.

    Strategy:

Avoid Tilt-Take a break if im still thinking about past hands.

Review HH-Review 1 in 6 HHs as well a send 1-2 for review by Tutor every month.

Exploit SNGPT-Every HH review must go through SNGPT

Think-Make point of slow down my response times and verbally think if need be. This process should be used to place opponents on ranges.

Note taking-Proper detained note taking while 2-tabling. Incl SH notes and HU in Blind

All these are sustainable but demanding. I will check back every month to ensure im on track.

All these and keep focus on 9-5 job and college.
