    elanto?

ok first of all villain is a somewhat loose player so it is quite possible he has A9 here. However if he has been paying attention to the game then he has seen me bet every flop and taken it down so he may be trying to call the flopp and bluff the turn here. So if i check and he bets then im in a toougher spot b/c he may just be betting with AJ+ with position. If i make another bet it has to be bigger than 700 IMO because the pot is already 1700. I was totally lost in this situation and would appreciate help

Tough situation. There is 1700 in the pot and you have 1510 behind. I think it's quite read dependent. Has villain limped/called with a big pocket pair previously? Has villain been a calling station in other hands? If he/she is likely to check behind if you check the turn and do the same on the river then I'm tempted to check and try to get to showdown without putting any more chips in the pot. If villain will bet out without necessarily having a 9, a set or a bigger overpair, then I'm tempted to open push the turn.

At the $5.50 level it's just so hard to know, for all the times you run into 33/66/9x or JJ+ you'll just as often see A6/A3, two overcards or sometimes even ATC with the call of the flop bet.

I think I am pushing here. Too much money in the pot to make any kind of follow-up bet and you can't really lead out and fold. Equally, you can't bet less than you did on the last street, because that is weak as piss and is just asking to get called.

The thing that really sways it for me is that far too many $5 players would raise when they hit top pair in this situation, so if he's got a 9, then its "nh. gg" on the chat; "what a fucking goofball" in my head and I fire up another.

That's a dream flop for TT. I shove em all in right then and there. You more than likely have the best hand now, so make him pay big time to draw out on you.

bad turn card, what hand range do you put opponent on calling a PFR and calling the flop bet ?

I think A9 or K9 pushes the flop. It's entirely possible he has 77 or 88 so I'm pushing the turn.

The 9 seems like a really bad card but I think most people would raise on the flop with just a pair of 9's, you cant rule anything out playing these 5$'s on stars though. This is a tough spot, Im having trouble putting him on a hand that would limp/call and call on that flop unless he is a donk slowplaying QQ+ or is planning on floating. The more I think I put him on a pair under 9. Now is he slow playin a set or is he unable to lay down 77 or 88 I dunno but an under pair is my guess.

yeah it was hard toput him on a 9 but checking would probably just be giving up the hand so I pushed and got called by A9, i dont like pushing the flop here b/c a lot of the time I get called by overs who think im bluffiong or an A9 would usually push here. But maybe pushing the flop was the best option

just unlucky he had A9, if the turn comes a 2, you're doubling up

What?!?! That would be the perfect example of getting all of your money into the pot while you're ahead. I almost always bet half the pot, whether it's a c-bet or a value bet, but if I knew for sure that I could get someone to join me for all their chips while I'm ahead, I'd gladly do it! As a disclaimer, I'm not talking about A3s vs A3o or A3 vs A2. I'm talking more like pp vs 2 high cards pre-flop.

omg man made a typing mistake
lol ok what i meant is that i dont like pushing the flop b/c most of the time ill get folds from hands that im currently very ahead..buyt if I just bet then i may get called by two overs who think im bluffing or by top or middle pair

This hand history doesn't make sense....PF you've got position on him but on the flop and turn you're first to act. which way was it?
